Current data collection

The site has no accounts, comments, database or embedded gameplay media, and it does not ask you to submit personal information through a form. It can serve advertising and measure traffic, but every third-party script is held back until you accept them in the consent bar. Decline, and none of them load; the answers, evidence grades and sources are unaffected either way.

Your decision is stored in your own browser under the key howtofish-answers-consent. Clearing site data resets it, and the privacy settings button reopens the choice at any time.

Advertising

After you accept, advertising may be served by Adsterra. Ad networks set their own cookies or similar identifiers to select and measure ads, governed by their policies rather than this one. Google AdSense is not serving ads on this site; the only Google advertising marker present is the site-ownership record used to verify who runs the domain.

Analytics

If a Google Analytics measurement ID is configured, the tag loads only after you accept, with IP anonymisation on. Declining removes the analytics cookies this site can reach.

Server records

The hosting provider may process ordinary request data such as IP address, user agent, requested path and time to deliver and secure the site. This site does not build visitor profiles from those infrastructure logs.

External links and email

Links to Steam, YouTube and other evidence sources have their own privacy practices. If you email a correction, your mail provider and ours process the address and message you choose to send. Do not send save files, account credentials or other sensitive information.
